Улаанбаатар хотын музейгээс А.Цэрэнчулууны “Улаанбаатар хотын тойрон аялал” номыг шинэчлэн баяжуулж, эрхлэн хэвлүүлэв. Энэ ном нь Монгол Улсын нийслэл Улаанбаатар хотын хөгжлийн түүхийг энгийн, товч тодорхой, сонирхолтой байдлаар харуулахыг зорьсон гарын авлага, хотын түүхийн хөтөч болсон бүтээл юм. Энэ ном анх 2006 онд уншигчдын гар дээр очсоноос хойш өдгөө дөрөв дэх удаагаа шинэчлэгдэн хэвлэгдэж байна.
Энэ удаа уг номыг шинэчлэн баяжуулснаар номын бүтэц, агуулга, нэр томъёо, Улаанбаатар хотын түүхийн гол ойлголтууд шинэчлэгдэн засварлагдаж, түүхэн ховор гэрэл зургуудаар баяжигдсан.
Тус номын агуулга нь дараах 13 хэсгээс бүрдэнэ.

Номын 1-13 бүлэгт хотын архиктурын дурсгал, бүтээн байгуулалт, гудамж, талбай, хотын хуучны болон одоогийн ерөнхий төрх, хотын хүмүүсийг харуулсан 322 гэрэл зураг, хууч яриа, домог, товч намтар, статистик мэдээ зэрэг 57 шигтгээ, Улаанбаатар хотын тойрон аяллын 11 газрыг тайлбарласан 60 обектын мэдээлэл, томоохон 6 сүм хийд, хуучны болон орчин үеийн 70 гаруй барилга, байшин, 115 хөшөө, баримал, 40 гаруй дурсгалт газарт, энэ цаг үеийн Улаанбаатар хотын зорьж үзэх 9 газар зэрэг өргөн мэдээлэл орсон.
